What is 3-CMC?
3 CMC is a research chemical, which belongs to the synthetic cathinones. 3CMC is also popularly called 'meow' and is also known as 3-Chloromethcathinone or Clophedrone. This RC is considered the successor to 3MMC after it became illegal in 2021. From 12 September 2023, 3-CMC will also be banned in the Netherlands. 3 CMC was examined by swallowing or sniffing and was available in powder form, pellets and capsules.

Little research has been done on the effects of 3CMC, but online experience reports show that researchers experienced the following effects of 3-CMC:

In addition, the RC was known as 3-methylmethcathinone, 3-MeMMC, 3-mephedrone, 3-methyl-N-methylcathinone. The RC has an uplifting effect and is a variation of 4MMC and 4-MEC. Since October 2021, 3MMC has been banned in the Netherlands. In short, producing, trading and possessing this designer drug is illegal. 3-MMC came on the market in powder and crystal form, but was also sporadically offered in capsules.

However, a subtle difference in effect can be seen. 3 CMC is more often more stimulating than euphoric. 3-CMC also has a shorter duration of action than 3-MMC.
