Is 1p-LSD legal? Many researchers ask themselves this question when conducting research into lysergamide research chemicals. 1p-LSD is not listed in the Opium Act, which means that you are allowed to buy, sell and possess this research substance. However, the RC is subject to the Commodities Act, which means that you are only allowed to conduct research into this chemical, but not consume it for recreational use. This article will take a closer look at the legal status of 1p-LSD, including whether this status will remain unchanged after the legislative amendment of 1 July 2025.
Legality of 1p-LSD
At the time of writing, 1p-LSD is legal in the Netherlands. It is not a criminal offence to buy, sell or possess 1p-LSD. However, this substance may not be used recreationally; it is only permitted for research purposes. In many countries, the alternative to LSD is already banned, such as Australia, France, Finland, Russia, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Japan, Latvia, Norway, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Italy, Singapore, the Czech Republic and Croatia.
Will 1p-LSD be legal after the law change on 1 July 2025?
On 1 July 2025, many research chemicals will be placed on a new Opium List with the new law change. This will make these research substances illegal overnight. 1p-LSD falls under the Lysergamides substance group, which is not included on this new Opium List. This means that you can still study 1p-LSD even after 1 July. The legislative change only applies to the following substance groups:
- Synthetic cannabinoids, such as 7-ABF
- Fluorinated substances, such as 2-FA
- Synthetic cathinones, such as 2-MMC
- Benzofurans, such as 5-APB
- Fentanyl-like substances, such as flakka
Invention of 1p-LSD
Many prospective researchers are studying 1p-LSD as a legal substitute for LSD, just like 1CP-LSD. LSD has been banned in the Netherlands for some time. 1p-LSD is used as a research substance to further investigate the effects of this illegal drug, as researchers experience similar effects with 1p-LSD. 1p-LSD is converted into LSD in your body, giving you exactly the same experience as with the illegal drug. This makes the RC an attractive alternative if you want to know what LSD must have felt like.
Why study 1p-LSD?
Although you don't need to worry that you won't be able to conduct research on 1p-LSD after July, it's still fun to study the interesting effects of 1p-LSD when you have the time. 1p-LSD causes:
- Higher energy levels
- Euphoria
- Connection with the environment
- Heightened senses
- Detailed analysis
- Silly laughter
- Altered perception of time
- Visual hallucinations
The visual hallucinations occur in varying degrees. At lower doses, you will perceive an intensification of colours and see geometric patterns, while at higher doses, euphoric feelings and a real trip will occur. Want to know more about the average experience with this RC? Read about it here.
Does Funcaps still sell 1p-LSD?
You can buy 1p-LSD for research purposes at Funcaps. We do not sell the RC for recreational use. As long as the substance is not banned by the Dutch government, we will continue to sell 1p-LSD and other lysergamides for research purposes. Our legal research substances are also pure and reliable, as they have been extensively tested in laboratories before being offered for sale.
