O-PCE is a substance belonging to the arylcyclohexylamines and it is gaining popularity. This research chemical has a dissociative effect, which is similar to ketamine and PCP in terms of chemical structure. In this article, we will take a closer look at what this particular substance does, focusing specifically on how O-PCE works and its effects.
What is O-PCE?
O-PCE is a research chemical, counted among the arylcyclohexylamines. The full name of O-PCE is N-ethyl-deschloro-ketamine or Eticyclidone and it is sold in powders, crystals and pellets, allowing you to research the drug orally and nasally. Eticyclidone is known for its dissociative effects, such as euphoric feelings and sedation.
O-PCE effect
O-PCE affects NMDA receptors in the brain. These receptors regulate pain perception, memory and learning ability. O-PCE binds to these receptors, blocking the transmission of signals between neurons. This leads to the dissociative state, which you experience after taking the substance. Eticyclidone is almost similar in structure to drugs like PCP, ketamine, 3F-PCP and deschloroketamine.
Average O-PCE, PCP and ketamine experiences
In terms of chemical structure, OCPE is very similar to substances like PCP and ketamine, which also belong to the arylcyclohexylamines. However, there are some differences between these three substances. O-PCE has its own unique effects and experiences as a result. PCP, for example, has more hallucinogenic effects than Eticyclidone, while ketamine has more analgesic effects. These differences are caused by a difference in the chemical structure of the substances. OCPE has a longer carbon chain than ketamine, giving O-PCE a longer and more potent effect. Ketamine, on the other hand, again has a second amine group, leading to its unique analgesic effect. PCP again differs from Eticyclidone in the phenyl ring to the cyclohexylamine structure that PCP has. This gives PCP its hallucinogenic effects.
O-PCE experience
What do people experience with O-PCE now? What effects does Eticyclidone cause? Researchers have reported a wide range of experiences, including:
- Feeling detached from the body
- Vivid hallucinations
- Extreme euphoria
- Increased creativity
- Reduction in pain
The effects do vary based on dosage and individual tolerance to the substance.
Experience with duration of action and dose of O-PCE
What effects occur and how long those effects persist has everything to do with the dose being studied and individual tolerance to the RC. A light dose contains about 5-10 milligrams of active ingredient, a medium dose 10-20 milligrams of active ingredient and a high dose consists of 20-30 milligrams of active ingredient. The onset of effects usually occurs from 10 to 30 minutes after initial ingestion. The peak effect occurs about 1 to 3 hours after ingestion. The total duration of action is 4 to 8 hours.
