Methoxisopropamine, abbreviated MXiPr, is a substance, similar in structure to drugs such as MXE and ketamine. MXiPr is a research chemical belonging to the arylcyclohexylamines with dissociative effects, such as hallucinations and sedation. Methoxisopropamine is a still relatively unknown substance, having only entered the market internationally since 2020. However, what are the average MXiPr experiences so far in terms of effects and duration of action? This blog will delve deeper into this question.
Average MXiPr experiences
There are a number of experiential reports and online studies to consult about the average MXiPr experiences, which on average are positive due to the multifaceted effects this RC produces, such as:
- Feeling of detachment from your body
- Feeling of detachment from your environment
- Different perception of time and space
- You start to see yourself differently
- Increased libido
- Feelings of bliss
- Visual hallucinations
- Improved experience of music
- Physical high (pleasant tingling)
- At higher doses also a narcotic effect
- Pain is relieved
Negative MXiPr experiences
The effects can vary from person to person and based on the amount of MxiPr taken. However, some researchers also mention a negative experience with Methoxisopropamine. These include side effects such as:
- Loss of motor control
- Dizziness
- K-Hole
- Nausea
- Abnormal heart rate
- Increased blood pressure
- Double vision
- Accelerated heart rate
- Heavy sweating
- At high doses: seizures
What is MXiPr?
MXiPr stands for Methoxisopropamine (IUPAC) 2-(3-Methoxyphenyl)-2-[(propan-2-yl)amino]cyclohexan-1-one, a research chemical with dissociative effects. Methoxisopropamine belongs to the family of arylcyclohexylamines and is more often compared to ketamine, although MXiPr has its own unique effects. MXiPr is available in powder form, in which it can be easily dosed and examined.
Effect of MXiPr
Little research has been done on how Methoxisopropamine powder works, but it is suspected that the RC is an antagonist of the NMDA receptor. An NMDA receptor provides electrical signals between neurons in your brain and spinal cord. For optimal exchange of signals, the NMDA receptor must be open. MXiPr blocks the receptors, causing them to close. Indeed, this would explain the dissociative and euphoric effects. Moreover, Methoxisopropamine is probably a strong inhibitor of serotonin reuptake, like MXE andn DMXE. These serotonin reuptake inhibitors often contribute to psychiatric disorders.
Experience with duration of action and dosage of MXiPr
So the negative experiences with Methoxisopropamine occur mainly at higher doses, according to the experience reports. However, what then is a good dosage of MXiPr? A light dose is set at 5-15 milligrams of active ingredient. In short, this is the perfect dose when you are just starting to explore this substance. An average dose is at 15-30 milligrams of MXiPr, while a high dose is at 30-45 milligrams. The dose also affects the duration of action of the substance. On average, the experience with the duration of action of MXiPr is that the onset of effects occurs about 20-40 minutes after ingestion. The peak effect here is between one and three hours. The total duration of action of Methoxisopropamine is about 3-6 hours.
