AL-LAD experiences: an in-depth look at the effects

AL-LAD experiences

AL-LAD is a psychedelic compound belonging to the lysergamide class of research chemicals. AL-LAD is closely related to the illicit drug LSD and is also similar to LSD in terms of potency and effects. Want to know more about the average AL-LAD experience and how it works? Then read on, because in this blog you will learn.

AL-LAD: positive experiences with effects

Apart from Shulgin's book of experiences, little research has been done on people's experiences with AL-LAD. So far, however, the following effects of the research chemical are known:

  • Stimulation of energy
  • Body high
  • Physical lightness
  • Euphoric feelings
  • Feeling of merging with other objects/ Body boundaries not clear
  • Sensory perception is heightened
  • Visual hallucinations
  • Empathy
  • Increased stamina
  • Increased libido
  • Increased analytical ability
  • Increased concentration
  • Appreciation of music
  • Sense of humour increases
  • Ego death

Negative experiences with AL-LAD

In general, AL-LAD is seen as a research chemical with fewer side effects than the real LSD. Nevertheless, higher doses should be treated with caution, as side effects such as:

  • Body temperature rises
  • Nausea
  • No appetite
  • Difficulty urinating
  • High blood pressure
  • Accelerated heart rate
  • Increased sweating
  • Muscle spasms
  • Increased yawning
  • Pupil dilation
  • Increased salivation
  • Seizures
  • Delusions

This is AL-LAD

AL-LAD is a research chemical counted among the synthetic lysergamides. This is a class of research chemicals, which mimic the effects of the illicit LSD. AL-LAD is the call sign of the RC 6-allyl-6-nor-lysergic acid di-ethylamide, which is known for its potent effects that best emulate the effects of LSD. The RC was first investigated in 1984, when many researchers were looking into LSD analogues. Russian Alexander Shulgin even included AL-LAD in his well-known work TiHKAL, in which he described in detail his positive AL-LAD experiences. AL-LAD is often investigated in blotters.

Experience with effects of AL-LAD

AL-LAD has a dual action. It works by binding to serotonin receptors in the brain. Moreover, it is a partial agonist for 5-HT2A, which explains AL-LAD's psychedelic effects. It is almost as strong in action as LSD and certainly stronger than other LSD analogues studied, such as 1P-LSD, ALD-52 and ETH-LAD. A good dose for AL-LAD for optimal effect is between 100-150 milligrams of active substance. A light dose is around 50-100 milligrams of active substance. At 150-300 milligrams one speaks of a high dose.

Duration of action of AL-LAD

Although AL-LAD has many similarities to LSD, just like 1V-LSD, AL-LAD has somewhat different effects and the RC's duration of action is different. In fact, AL-LAD has a shorter duration of action. The onset of effects occurs about twenty to forty minutes after ingestion. The peak effect is about two to three hours. The total duration of action is about 6 to 10 hours. With LSD, the first effects take place about half an hour to an hour after ingestion. The peak effect here is around two to six hours and the total duration of action of LSD is 10 to 14 hours.
