Buy 6-APB (Benzofury)?
6-APB is a research substance within the benzofuran class that provides more energy. It has empathogenic properties, which increase empathy, make the test subjects in the experiment more relaxed and open, and enable more intense experiences with music and light. However, since 1 July 2025, 6-APB has been included on the Opium List IA. This means that this substance may no longer be sold, not even for research purposes. You can therefore no longer buy 6-APB from Funcaps, only legal research chemicals.
Is it still possible to buy 6-APB?
6-APB is a benzofuran, a group of substances with a similar effect to amphetamines. Although 6abp’s nickname sounds like it would have similar effects to benzodiazepines, nothing could be further from the truth. Where benzos are known for their calming and anxiety-reducing effects, research has shown that 6abp could have effects that are way more upbeat. 6-APB gives you more energy, just like XTC. 6-APB was widely sold as a research substance, but since the change in the law on 1 July 2025, it has become illegal. The effects of 6-APB
6 APB is an empathogenic substance. These are substances that increase feelings of empathy and goodwill towards others. 6-APB was a research substance known for the following characteristic effects:
- Feeling awake
- Feeling happy
- Maintaining energy levels
- Psychedelic experiences, similar to those experienced with lysergamide substances
- Seeking contact with others
- High levels of self-confidence
- Increased sex drive
However, the effects were slow to kick in, which meant there was a risk of taking too much too soon. It took more than 60 minutes before the first effects were noticeable. In total, the effects lasted 7 to 10 hours. This led to more frequent overdoses, a risk that the government wanted to counter by including 6-APB and other benzofurans on the Opium Lists. This legislative change came into effect on 1 July 2025.
How 6-APB works
6-APB caused the release of serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine. In addition, the substance inhibited these three neurotransmitters. As with other benzofurans, such as 5-MAPB, this led to the euphoric and stimulating effect of the research chemical.
Dosage
6-APB could always be studied orally via powders, capsules or pellets. Novice researchers took a dose of 15-60 milligrams of active substance to start with. From this lighter dosage, it was possible to slowly increase the dose. An average research dose was 60-90 milligrams. For strong effects, such as psychedelic effects, doses of 90-120 milligrams were used.
Duration
The first effects of 6-APB occurred at the earliest 30-60 minutes after initial intake. More often, they occurred after an hour. The peak effect was around 3 to 4 hours. In total, the research into 6-APB lasted 7 to 10 hours, but the after-effects of the RC were still noticeable long after that and could even be visible after 48 hours!
